Flight path of a virtual flight in the Kailash Region

The flight starts on the top of the map in the Kailash Range. After a loop over the two Lakes Paiku Tso and Manasarovar and around Gurla Mandata (7728m) it returns again to Kailash (6714m). It ends near the Maryum La, a pass in the East of the Region over which the Highway 219 (purple on the map) leads further to the west.

The Gurla Mandata (7728m) is situated in the Himalaya in Tibet near the border to India and Nepal. Even he is 1000m higher than nearby Kailash (6714m), he is not that well known.

The flight around Gurla Mandata (along the red line) keeps a distance between 14 and 18km to the summit and follows the red line on the map clockwise. The two Lakes Rakas Tal and holly Manasarovar are well seen, while Kailash ist two far away (ca. 70km).
